eVacation Ready

About eVacation Ready

The name reads two ways: vacation and evacuation. That is the job. Guests are on vacation in a place they do not know, and the owner must tell them how to get out.

We build a done-for-you evacuation plan for every short-term rental: the posted route map on the back of the door, a guest guide page behind a QR code, and storm-day alerts to booked guests, checked by a person before they are sent.

Why we started

Cities are writing evacuation postings into rental codes: Sarasota Ordinance 25-5560 (2025) asks for a displayed map of the route to the nearest hurricane shelters, St. Johns County asks for a posted route map, and the 2024 Lake Tahoe regional plan asks rentals to post an alert link at every exit. Walton County's ordinance notes that guests are unfamiliar with local hurricane evacuation plans. Owners already skip do-it-yourself safety pages, and a guidebook does nothing when an order is issued.

Where we work

Launch: City of Sarasota and St. Johns County, then Hallandale Beach. Next: Walton County and Galveston on the Gulf, the North Carolina coast from the Outer Banks south, Myrtle Beach in South Carolina, and the Tahoe wildfire towns.

Who we are

eVacation Ready is operated by OptimaTech Labs. Plans are signed off by our safety reviewers, who are named on every plan and every storm-day message. We carry errors and omissions cover.
